START HERE!

If you’ve clicked here, that means you’re just starting out with baby led weaning. Or maybe you started it a little while back and you’re feeling overwhelmed. Or you have a brand new baby (or you’re pregnant, or you want kids one day) and you’re just a planner.

This is not really new information. I’ve written several posts about important information, but it’s not always easy to find those unless you know what you’re looking for. That’s why I made this START page. It’s your roadmap, your choose-your-own-adventure, if you will. It’s all the stuff you can find here on my blog, stuff that’s important if you’re just starting out.

If you’ve been nursing up until this point, here’s how solids fit in with that. And here’s a little more about the virgin gut (and waiting until 6 months to start solids!).

Are you worried about allergies? Check out these posts: 1, 2, 3, 4. Oh, and about eggs… here’s some info about a runny yolk.

Are you worried about choking? Read this one.

Issues with reflux? Check this out.

Your baby can eat a lot of things! Here are some things that are off limits: choking hazards and allergens and honey, salt, and sugar

What about beverages? Read here.

Still not sure about that first meal/week? Well here’s a starter guide. Here are some of my ideas. And here are some ideas from lots of other moms.

And here’s a little info on how much your baby should eat.

If you started with purees, here’s a little info on the transition to table foods. And here are some things you can do with the little jars of puree you still have (or the homemade stuff in your freezer).

Hope that helps! If you’ve still got a question, shoot me an email! (blwideas@gmail.com) And here’s a little more about me. 🙂
