One vivid memory I have from the first week at home with Alexander is nearly fainting. We all woke up, and as soon as I took a few steps, my head started spinning. I immediately felt nauseous and that I would pass out, so I sat on the bed and started crying. I had a follow-up appointment that morning anyway, so I asked my doctor what was up. After checking out some of my vitals, she told me it was most likely because I was nursing without drinking enough water or snacking enough.

When doing BLW do I give any puréed food ? Not sure how to start. I EBF. My baby is 4 months, and I will start at 6 months but I’m not sure how? What do I start with?
Would you believe I’ve never cooked the Thanksgiving meal before? Never! Sure, I’ve helped a little. But I’ve never done the majority of the cooking. This year, we’re having dinner with another family and a friend of ours (5 adults, 3 kids total). I wanted to do most of the cooking this year, so it will be a new adventure for me.
These days, if I’m in the mood for a chocolate cake, I can usually whip one up with the ingredients I have, even if I have to make substitutions. If I want a pizza, I’ll make one. If the pantry is mostly empty, I can come up with something for any meal, using what we have. (Not just cake and pizza. But I’m pregnant, and those are the foods that are on my brain right now!)
